Fire Preparedness

Fires are a fact of life.  And sadly, the United States has one of the highest fire death rates in the industrialized world.  Every year an average of 4,400 Americans loss their lives in fires and another 25,100 are injured as a result of fire.  As sobering as these statistics may be, the reality is that most of these deaths and injuries can be prevented.  This Section of NeighborhoodPreparedness.info has been created to provide you with key information on Fire Preparedness.

This following is an index of informative documents found in the Fire Preparedness Section. Additional information on preparedness is found in the Disaster Preparedness and Terrorism Preparedness Sections.

Additional Fire Safety information can be found at http://www.usfa.fema.gov.
